Passilla & 200 Free Relay Win Bronze at NEWMAC Championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Sarah Passilla took third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.80 and was part of the 400 medley relay which set a school record on the second day of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship.

Coast Guard is in 4th place with 214.5 points trailing third place Wheaton (254), second place Springfield (270.5) and first place MIT (427).

The Bears 200 freestyle relay of freshman Hannah Fernandes, junior Kristen Young, freshman Felicia Lombardi and senior Jacklyn Kokomoor placed third with a time of 1:37.75.

The Bears 400 medley relay of junior Samantha Kenis, Pasilla, freshman Emily Benson and Young broke the school record with a time of 3:57.24 to place fourth.

Also for the Bears, Young was fourth in the 50 freestyle (24.12) and Benson placed 5th in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:02.53.
