NEW LONDON, Conn.-- Junior Courtney McKenna has been named to the The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region second team. This is the second time in her career she has been named to an All-Region team, being named to the first team following her freshman season.
McKenna, the Bears second baseman, led the team and is fifth in the NEWMAC with a .411 average, 13 doubles and 40 RBI's, which is second most in the conference, despite missing the final seven games with an injury.
She also earned a spot on the NEWMAC All-Conference second team honors for the second time as she was second team selection as a freshman in 2017.
McKenna hit safely in 25 of the 31 games she played in this season and she had 14 multi-hit games and 15 games with two or more runs batted in.
