NEW LONDON, Conn. – Sophomore Eric Fuhs won the 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM and classmate Marshall Seguin won both diving events leading Coast Guard, ranked 22nd nationally, to a 202-85 win over Wheaton.
Coast Guard improves to 3-0 on the season while the Lyons drops to 0-3.
Fuhs won the 200 breaststroke (2:09.54) and the 200 IM (2:01.83) while Seguin won the 1 meter diving with 281.02 points and the 3 meter board with 262.50 points.
Also for the Bears, senior Taylor Rowe won the 1,000 freestyle (10:05.75), sophomore Josh Roh won the 200 freestyle (1:47.74), senior Chasse Sodemann won the 100 breaststroke (58.48), freshman Christian Lower won the 200 butterfly (1:59.14), junior Joe Rodriguez won the 50 freestyle (20.79), junior John Pompay won the 100 freestyle (48.47), freshman Devin McClure won the 500 freestyle (4:51.06) and senior Patrick Jackson won the 100 butterfly (53.66),
The Bears 200 medley relay team of freshman CJ Omweg, Sodemann, sophomore Tyler Dominick and Rodriguez won with a time of 1:36.38.
The Bears are back in action on Nov. 10th when the Bears take on Southern Connecticut and host WPI at noon.
