NEW LONDON, Conn. – Junior Austin Read has been named to the NSCAA NCAA Men's Division III All-New England Region team for the 2016 season.

Read earned All-Region honors for the first time in his career adding to his compilation of awards for the past season. Read also earned second team All-Conference honors for the second time in his career and was a third team CoSIDA Academic All-American.

The co-captain led a defense that tallied a .97 goals against average and was tied for second in the conference with eight shutouts. He also was an asset on the offensive scoring five goals for the Bears. He has started 53 games while at the Academy scoring 10 goals and recording two assists.
