BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Kaitlyn Mooney placed fourth overall leading Coast Guard to an outstanding sixth place finish of 43 teams and the top Division III finisher in the brown division at the 45th annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
The brown division race consists of some Division I teams as well as regionally ranked Division II and III teams.
The All-American Mooney ran the 6K course in 21:27. Freshman Laurel Felt (22:12) was second for Coast Guard placing 15th.
Also for the Bears, junior Olivia Suski (23:25) was 88th, Kirsten Carson (23:36) was 106th, sophomore Emma Sims (23:47) placed 129th, sophomore Maeve Roach (24:07) was 166th and senior Anita Green (24:08) was 170th to round out the scoring for the Bears.
The Paul Short Run is the largest intercollegiate cross country meet in the nation with approximately 6,000 athletes from nearly 450 colleges and high schools competing this year.
The Bears are back in action on Oct. 13th at the Conn. College Invitational at Harkness Park in Waterford.
