Three Honored by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - Seniors Gretchen Krause and Bonny Turnage and sophomore Anita Green were named to the U.S. Track &Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team. 

In total, there were 664 athletes (374 women, 290 men) who earned All-Academic mention from the USTFCCCA in NCAA Division III. In order to be named USTFCCA All-Academic, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and finish in the top-25 percent at their respective regional.

This is the first time the trio has earned this honor and the first time a member of the women's cross country team has earned this honor according to kept records. 

Turnage was the top finisher for the Bears crossing the finish line in 77th place (23:03.44) at the Regional Championship Followed up by Green in 98th place (23:24.75) and Krause in 102nd place (23:26.36).

The Bears are currently deep into their indoor track and field season with meets this weekend at BU and MIT.
