Haley Leads Bears at Earley Invitational; Beat MMA for SUPT Trophy Point

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Senior Jenn Haley was the top Coast Guard finisher as the Bears placed tenth of 41 teams at the James Earley Invitational at Westfield State and won a point against Merchant Marine for the Superintendent's Trophy and now lead 3.5-1.5 on the season.

The Bears were tenth while Merchant Marine was 23rd overall to secure the point in the 2016-17 standings.

Haley placed 29th in 23:25.99. Junior Rachel Burchill was the second Bear to finish as she was 38th with a time of 23:38.02.

Freshman Kirsten Carson was 66th (24:23.16), classmates Olivia Konceki (25:01.47) and Olivia Suski (25:02.51) were 100th and 101st overall.

Junior Maral Toukanian (25:47.40) and freshman Brandee Schiller (25:54.74) were 153rd and 157th to round out the Bears top seven.

Coast Guard is back in action on Oct. 15th at the Conn. College Invitational.
