Bears Finish 18th at ECAC Championship

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Coast Guard women's cross country team ran to an 18th place finish at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships hosted by Westfield State University.

The Bears top finisher was freshman Savanah Ehbert who was the 89th runner across the line in a time of 24:52. The next finisher for Coast Guard was junior Jessica Mulroy who covered the 5k course in 24:52 good enough for 91st place.

The next scorer for the Coast Guard was freshman Annabelle Gagnon who finished in 106th place with a time of 25:04.

The final two scorers for the Bears were sophomore Chloe Benoist and sophomore Nikki Kruger who finished in 122nd and 124th place respectively. Their times were 25:24 and 25:25 keeping the top five in the top 150.

The top team was the number six team in the nation, Williams with 48 points followed by University of New England with 60 points.

Coast Guard returns to action on Saturday November 15th when they travel to Williamstown, Massachusetts for the New England Division III Qualifier. The meet kicks off at 11:00 am
