Bears Place Fourth at Wesleyan Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—The Bears placed fourth out of 11 teams competing at the Wesleyan University Invitational.

Coast Guard placed four runners in the top 30 spots with sophomore Beth Gollin leading the Bears. Gollin was fourth overall finishing in 19:20.

Senior Sarah Blatt was second for Coast Guard placing 10th in the event crossing the finish line in 19:49.

Junior Meghan Kalinowski and Melissa Keeley were the 3rd and 4th finishers for CGA placing 21st and 26th running 20:15 and 20:20 on the 5k course. Closing out the Bears scoring runners was Kendall Auth in 33rd place and running a time of 20:31.

Also, posting strong performances were Ellie Wu and Jessica Mulroy in 37th and 38th with times on the course of 20:44 and 20:48.

Coast Guard will be off next weekend, but will return to the races at the James Earley Invitational 6K at Westfield State University on October 6th.
