Bears Fall to Johnson & Wales

BRISTOL, R.I. – New England power Johnson & Wales remained unbeaten winning its 15th straight match to start the season beating Coast Guard 3-0 during the opening night of the Roger Williams Invitational.

The Wildcats won by game scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-4 as Coast Guard dropped to 7-7 on the season.

Freshman Angelou Dunton led the Bears with six kills while junior Michelle McGill had a team-high nine digs in the loss.

Coast Guard is back in action on Saturday in the Roger Williams Invitational when the Bears take on host Hawks at 11:00 and Western Connecticut at 5:00.
