NEW ORLEANS, La. – Sophomores Anna Beck and Adora Lawrence and juniors Anita Green and Caroline Jenkins all were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Individual All-Academic team for the 2017-18 indoor and outdoor track and field season.
It is the first time earning the honors for Beck (Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering), Green (Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering), Jenkins (Government) and Lawrence (Marine & Environmental Science) have earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
Beck and Green both earned All-America honors this past indoor season as members of the DMR team competed at the NCAA National Championship. The team took home seventh with the school record time of 11:50.97.
Jenkins and Lawrence both took home Division III All-New England honors outdoors, as members of the 4x400 taking third place and running the second fastest time in program history (3:59.11).
Including the Scholar Athletes of the Year, a total of 627 women earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2017-18 track & field seasons.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
- Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.
