Troise, Adams Earn Field Athlete of the Week Honors

BOSTON, Mass. - Juniors Gabrielle Troise and Darius Adams both earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Athlete of the Week honors for their performances in the opening weekend of the outdoor track and field season.

Troise set a new school record in the shot put this past weekend with a throw of 39'11.25" at the Fred Hardy Invitational. Her mark is currently third in New England. Troise also opened with the second best hammer throw in New England (151'10") and seventh best discus throw (104'9").

Adams finished in fourth place in the long jump at the Fred Hardy Invitational with a distance of 22'4 1/4". Adams is currently second in New England and 14th in Division III with his season opening jump.

The Bears are back in action this Saturday, April 1st at their annual home meet, the Coast Guard Academy Spring Invitational.
