BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Ashlee Johnson and the 4x400 relay team set new school records on day one of the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University.
Johnson broke the school record in the 500 finishing in 14th place with a time of 1:18.54. She broke the school record set by Abbie Harms in 2006 when she ran 1:21.80.
The 4x400 team of freshmen Madeline Colwell and Anna Beck, sophomore Caroline Jenkins and senior Sarah Cummings ran 4:02.17 smashing the school record set last year by Cummings, Jenkins, Allie Cobb and Madison Ahlers who ran 4:11.59 last year at BU.
The relays record time puts them at ninth in New England
The Bears are back in action today, at day two of the David Hemery Valentine Invitational and at the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT.
