Women’s Swimming and Diving 7th after Day Three at NEWMAC’s

WORCESTER, Mass.-The Coast Guard women's swimming and diving team received a trio of top ten finishes on Day Three of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by WPI.

The Bears currently sit in seventh place in the 10 team field with 294 points. MIT remains in first place with 927 points while Springfield and Wellesley rank second and third with 836.5 and 604 points, respectively.

Freshman Kaitlyn Toth was the top individual finisher for Coast Guard, placing sixth in the 400 IM with a time of 4:47.50.

Senior Chantel Ferguson and junior Darlene Sao each placed ninth in their respective events. Ferguson finished the 100 butterfly in 58.52 seconds while Sao completed the 200 freestyle in 1:55.42.

Coast Guard returns to action tomorrow, February 23rd when they wrap up the NEWMAC Championships at WPI.
