Women's Swimming Finishes Third at Union Relays

SCHENECTADY, NY – Junior Chantel Ferguson was part of two second place relay teams, leading the Bears to a third place finish at the Union Relays.

The 400 yard medley relay team of freshman Ashley Ezell, sophomore Darlene Sao, Ferguson, and senior Terri Jozsa finished second with a time of 4:14.41.

Ferguson, Ezell, and freshman Megan Toomey combined for another second place finish in the 300 yard butterfly with a time of 3:11.71.

Ferguson, Sao, and senior Erin Talbot finished second in the 600 medley finishing in 6:58.35.

Sophomore Sara Cantrell broke both her 11 dive school records. She scored 423.25 on 1-meter, and 453.75 on 3-meter board. He old records were 381.35 on the 1-meter and 402.05 on the 3-meter board.

Sophomores Carolyn Slife, Caitlyn Gever, and Abby King combined for a third place finished in the 300 yard backstroke relay with a time of 3:16.97 while Jozsa, Sao, and freshman Haley McWilliams combined for another third place finish in the 300 yard breaststroke relay finishing in 3:42.79.

In the 200 yard freestyle, Gever, Ezell, freshman Patti Eidenhire , Talbot combined for a third place finish with a time of 1:46.68 while Ezell, Sao, Gever, and Ferguson teamed up for another third place finish in the 400 yard freestyle.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Gever, Jozsa, Talbot, and Eidenhire finished third and came in with a time of 2:00.74.

The Bears will travel to the University of Rhode Island where they will take on URI and Springfield college at 1:00p.
