Moore First Start in Goal Leads to NEWMAC Player of Week Honors

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Coast Guard sophomore Holly Moore has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as Coast Guard beat WPI 2-0 for its only conference win of the season in the final game of the year.

Moore, who played in all 16 games this season at forward, made the most of her first collegiate appearance and start in goal, as she made seven saves and registered a shutout filling in for the injured Devin Fellman, who had played every minute of every game this season.

The Bears finished 3-13 overall and 1-8 in conference play.
