Sophomore Chris Sullivan was named wrestler of the week by the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) for his performance against Southern Maine and Roger Williams.

Sullivan went 2-0 over the weekend to help the Bears split their home opening Tri-meet beating Southern Maine and falling to nationally ranked Roger Williams.  Sullivan beat Carter Merecki of RWU 1-0 and beat CJ Luth of USM 11-0 to earn the major decision win.  Luth is a returning Region place winner and beat nationally ranked Ty Herzog in his first match of the night. Sullivan had a big win over Luth and placed 5th at the prestigious York invitational last weekend. Sullivan is now ranked number eight nationally at 157 pounds.

Coast Guard, currently ranked seventh in New England, is back in action on January 8-9 when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana for the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals.
