Bear Pair Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors from CRCA

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Coast Guard women's rowing team had a pair of cadet-athletes named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athletes.

Senior Brynna Cooke (Marine and Environmental Sciences) earned honors for the second straight season while sophomore Megan Sackett (Electrical Engineering) earned honors for the first time.

To be named to the team, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above,  be at least in her second season of eligibility and have rowed in the institutions NCAA or IRA eligible boat for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or racing in a regional conference event.
