Feindel Named NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/9/12)--Senior All-American Hayley Feindel returned from an injury in style on Friday and for her efforts she was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Pitcher of the Week.

Feindel, who missed 13 games with an injury, returned on Friday and threw a pair of shutouts and become the Division III all-time leading in innings pitched as the Bears swept Clark.

She now has 905 innings pitched in her career breaking the record of 898 innings set by Megan Soultz of DePauw from 2007-2010.

Feindel threw a five hitter in the opener with one walk and six strikeouts before firing a four-hit shutout with two walks and six strikeouts in the nightcap.

Coast Guard is 16-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
