Why did you choose to come to the Coast Guard Academy?
I was never interested in joining the military, until I visited the Coast Guard Academy. I am very excited to see where this life takes me and I can't wait to be a part of the force that protect our water ways.

How long have you been sailing? How did you start sailing?
I have been sailing since I was 7 years old. I started out in summer sailing at our local yacht club. I have since competed in high school sailing and various Club 420 events.

What is your favorite thing about the sailing team at Coast Guard?
Everyone is very supportive and is always willing to give positive feedback. Not to mention how awesome the James Rock sailing venue is.

What other activities/positions/clubs are you involved with on campus?
I am part of the Cadet Activities Council and the Yoga Club.

What is the sailing acheivement that you are most proud of?: 
Qualifying for the Atlantic Coast Championships in High School Sailing.

What are your future sailing plans and career goals after graduation?
I plan on sailing for the rest of my life. After graduation I hope to be a Deck Watch Officer.

Tell us something that your teammates would be surprised to know about you.
I played piano for 13 years.
