Bears at the Top in National Polls

NEW LONDON, Conn.--After a successful start to their 2015-2016 campaign, the sailing team finds themselves ranked in the top-5 in both coed and women's sailing, a first in program history. In the latest Sailing World College Sailing National Rankings, the women's team is ranked first and the coed team is ranked fourth.

The coed team started the season by winning the prestigious Harry Anderson Trophy hosted by Yale University and followed that up by finishing tenth at a very competitive Hatch Brown Trophy hosted by MIT. The women's team has two top three results on their record thus far, after they finished third at the Toni Deutsch Trophy hosted by MIT and then won the Stu Nelson Trophy hosted by Connecticut College.

The Bears will be competing at home this weekend in the Danmark Trophy and on the road in the New England Women's Singlehanded Championship at Boston College and the Hewitt Trophy at Dartmouth College.
