Sophomore Alexandria Harrington led the team in Smallbore with a personal best score of 570. Senior Nick Paisker posted a solid 560 while Harrington's classmates Randall Ford and Jacob Dupree fired a 551 and 544 respectively to help the team to a season high score of 2225. Dupree's 544 was a personal best as Sophomore Marshall Grant turned in a 536.
Paisker shot a 577 to set the pace for the Bears in Air Rifle. Supporting him was Harrington's 575, Ford at 557 and Dupree with a 553. The 2262 air rifle score gave the team a 4487 aggregate, which was the best performance this season.
The Horned Frogs and Ohio State defeated the Bears 4705 and 4698 to 4487.
On the second day, the Bears had a full head of steam as they again faced Ohio State. Harrington led the team in smallbore with yet another 570 as classmate Ford backed her up with a 569. Dependable Paisker shot a solid 564 while Grant rounded out the top four with a personal best 546. The quartet combined for a 2249 which surpassed the Academy record, set last year at TCU, by 15 points.
Paisker again topped the team in Air Rifle, this time with a 574. Harrington fired a 572 followed by Ford and Grant with a 564 and 548 respectively. The 2258 when combined with the 2249 shot in smallbore totaled a 4507, a season high for the Bears.
Coast Guard fell to Ohio State 4698 to 4507.
The Bears are now 9-9 on the season and 9-0 in conference play. They return to action on February 4th when they compete in the Beanpot Tournament and National Rifle Association Collegiate Sectionals at MIT.
