TOP MOMENT #2 – PISTOL, LEAD BY HELEN OH TAKES HOME SEVERAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

During the holiday season, we have looked back at the Top Ten moments in Coast Guard Academy intercollegiate Athletics during the 2018 year.

We have compiled a list and will unveil one every other day, culminating with the announcement of the top moment on New Year's Eve.

TOP MOMENT #2 – PISTOL, LEAD BY HELEN OH TAKES HOME SEVERAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Junior Helen Oh won both the All-Around and the Women's All-Around National Championships at the NRA Collegiate Pistol Championship. This was the first time ever in Collegiate National Championship history, that one shooter has won both the Women's All-Around Collegiate Individual Championship and the Open All-Around Collegiate Individual Championship. She also won the Women's Air Pistol for the third straight season.

The Coast Guard women's team won the Air Pistol National Championship, the Women's Sport Pistol and Women's Aggregate National Championships and Oh was a part of both of those teams as well.

Sophomore Kevin Bennett won a national championship in Men's Air Pistol for the first time in his career.
