BOSTON, Mass. - Led by a 13th place by junior Gilliam Hill, the Coast Guard men's cross country finished in third place at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Bears scored 82 points and put all of their scoring runners inside the top 25.
For the 18th year in a row MIT won the team championship with 17 points putting five runners in the top six. WPI was second with 49 points.
Hill earned all conference status with his 13th place finish covering the 8k course in 26:32. Sophomore Andrew Brown was the second finished for the Bears in a time of 26:45.
The Bears are back in action Saturday, November 7th, when they travel to Williamstown, Massachusetts for the ECAC championships.
