WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Coast Guard men's cross country team ran to an 11th place finish at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships hosted by Westfield State University.
The Bears top finisher was freshman Brett Foster who was the 53rd runner across the line in a time of 26:55. The next finisher for Coast Guard was sophomore Gilliam Hill who covered the 8k course in 26:57 good enough for 56th place.
The next scorer for the Coast Guard was senior Zach Kearney who finished in 62nd place with a time of 27:02.
The final two scorers for the Bears were sophomore Jacob Yallowitz and sophomore James Rimelle who finished in 72nd and 103rd place respectively. Their times were 27:14 and 27:46 to keep the top five under 28 minutes.
The top team was the number four team in the nation, Williams with 57 points followed by number 24 Tufts with 71 points.
Coast Guard returns to action on Saturday November 15th when they travel to Williamstown, Massachusetts for the New England Division III Qualifier. The meet kicks off at 11:00 am.
