Men’s Cross Country 7th at ECAC Championships

BRISTOL, R.I.-Junior Nick Foster placed 21st to lead the Coast Guard men's cross country team to a 7th place finish at the 2013 ECAC Championships. The Bears were 7th out of 46 competing teams in the 8K course at Colt State Park in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Foster was the top Coast Guard finisher with his 21st place finish coming in a time of 26:43. Next across the line for the Bears was junior James Martin finishing in 25th place with a time of 26:48. The third scoring runner for Coast Guard was senior Matt Monahan who took 46th, covering the course in 27:07.

Rounding out the top five scoring runners for Coast Guard were freshman Gilliam Hill and sophomore Kevin Petow, finishing in 27:28 and 27:47, respectively.

Coast Guard returns to action on Saturday, November 16th when they compete at the Division III New England Regional Championships at the University of Southern Maine.
