BOSTON, Mass.--(10/31/11)--Coast Guard had a trio of runners earn All-conference honors as the Bears placed third at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Franklin Park.
Senior Trevor Siperek was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed tenth with a time of 26:33 over the 8K course to earn All-conference honors for the second straight season. The top 14 finishers earn All-conference honors.
Sophomore Gary Ezzo was 11th with a time of 26:43 earning All-conference honors for the first time in his career.
Senior Joe Hill placed 14th to earn All-conference honors for the first time in his career as he crossed the finish line with a time of 26:57.
Senior Kevin O'Brien just missed earning his third straight All-conference honor as he placed 15th with a time of 26:59.
MIT took the top three spots and four of the top five places to win the NEWMAC championship for the 14th straight season while Springfield placed second. MIT had 19 points, Springfield finished with 44 points while the Bears had 75 points.
