On the track and in the field, several athletes have gone on to represent Coast Guard at regional meets in both cross country and track & field, while 6 have earned All America honors including 4-time All-American in the hurdles, Adam Scalesse.

Prior to becoming head coach at Coast Guard, Brown served as an Assistant Coach for Track & Field for two years, working primarily with Sprinters, Jumpers and Multi-Eventers, helping  32 athletes on to All-Region honors and Carl Luxhoj to earn All-America honors three times in the long and triple jump.

Prior to joining the staff at Coast Guard, Brown was an assistant coach for both cross country and track & field at Babson College from 2006-2008.
