Bears Place 12th at the NE DIII Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Josiah Davis finished second overall in the 800 meters with a school record time of 1:51.79 to lead Coast Guard men's track and field to a 12th place finish overall in the New England Division III Championships at MIT on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Colton Atkinson became the seventh all-time at Coast Guard in the 3000m with his time of 8:48.53. Junior Andre Gallant become the fifth all-time at Coast Guard in the 5000m with his finish 10th overall at 15:22.18.

Senior Michael Frick tied for fifth overall in the pole vault (14'8"). Junior Ben Zarlengo finished second overall in the weight throw with his second-best throw of the season (60'7").

The 4x800 team of Matt Kerst, Sydney Johnson, Jeffrey Meyer, Benjamin Taminger finished fifth overall at 8:06.29. The 4x400 team of Miguel Moroles, Daniel Taglianetti, Matthew Perlich, and James Duren finished ninth overall with a time of 3:28.11.

Sophomore Geoffrey Delorie finished the heptathlon seventh overall with the third all-time best at CGA with 4119 points.

The Bears are back in action next Saturday, March 2 at the Last Chance Qualifier at Tufts.
