BOSTON, Mass. – The Coast Guard men's distance medley relay set a school record on day one of the Dave Hemery Invitational hosted by Boston University.

Seniors Brett Foster (1200), Raeford Penny (400), junior Ben Taminger (800) and freshman Josiah Davis (1600) ran 10:07.50 breaking the old school record (10:10.33) set by Caleb Teachout, Nick Frystak, Taminger and Foster.

Their time moves them into 12th in all of division III and seventh in New England.

The Bears will split up their squad tomorrow for day two of the Dave Hemery Invitational and the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT.

The men's DMR snaps a photo with Edward "King Ches" Cheserek who ran the world's second fastest time in the mile (3:49.44) Friday night at the Dave Hemery Invitational.
