Jezuit Leads Bears to 2nd Place Finish

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Justin Jezuit won both the discus (142 feet, 5 inches) and the hammer (152 feet, 8 inches) leading Coast Guard to a second place finish in a home tri-meet.

The Bears 4x100 relay team of Miquel Moroles, Raeford Penny, Alex Jung and Jacob Pawlina set the school record with a time of 42.58 and placed second.

WPI won with 166 points, Coast Guard was second with 124 while Springfield was third with 95 points.

Nick Frystack won the 200 meters (22.07) while Pawlina was second (22.11), Brett Foster won the 800 meters (1:56.89), Michael Frick won the pole vault (14-11), Darius Adams won the long jump (23-2.5 feet) and James Rimmele won the 3,000 steeplechase (9:53.77).

Also the Bears 4x400 relay team of Casey Dieter-Leeds, Caleb Patton, Jacob Panning and Jacob McGlumphy won in 3:42.50.
