INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced today the participants in the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. The men's track and field 4x400 qualified as the 12th and final team with a time of 3:19.48.
The team is comprised of sophomores Nicholas Frystak and Jacob Pawlina and juniors Luke Rehfuss and Raeford Penny. The team ran their qualifying time this past weekend at the Tufts Last Chance meet beating out WPI for the final spot by .04 seconds.
For each men's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 15 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each woman's individual event contested, including the pentathlon, the top 17 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition. The championships will be held March 10-11 at the Res Rec Center in Naperville, Illinois, with North Central College serving as the official host.

The team will run in preliminary heats on Friday, March 10th, at 5:00. If they make the finals they will run the next day at 4:35.
