Gallant Wins 3,000 Meters to Highlight the Day at MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --Freshman Andre Gallant won the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:14.15 to highlight the Bears performance at the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT.

Junior Darius Adams was second in the long jump (6.48 meters), freshman Jacob Panning was second in the 5,000 meters (15:58.33) while classmate Kyle Hansen finished fourth in 16:30.79.

Sophomore Justin Jezuit was sixth in the weight throw (13.65 meters) while sophomore Colton Atkinson was seventh (9:31.05) in the 3,000 meters for Coast Guard.

The Bears are back in action next weekend at the DIII New England Championships at Tufts.
