Pair of Records Broken at Day I of All-New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior All-American Adam Scalesse set a new school record with a time of 8.08 in the preliminaries of the 60 hurdles at the All-New England Championships featuring athletes from Divisions I, II and III at Boston University.

Scalesse's time in the 60 hurdles was  the fastest time posted during the preliminaries on Friday, the finals will be tomorrow.

The Bears DMR of James Martin, Andrew Scheffey, Ben Chapman and Brad Pienta set a school record with a time of 10:12.79 to place eighth to earn All-New England honors.

Senior All-American Ben Wolhaupter tied for fifth in the pole vault (15 feet, 3.5 inches) to earn All-New England honors. Wolhaupter won the Division III New England championship last weekend with a vault of 14 feet, 11 inches. He cleared 15 feet, 7 inches last year at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships to earn All-America honors with an eighth place finish.
