Scalesse Named NEWMAC Track Athlete of the Week

NEW LONDON, Conn.—Junior All-American Adam Scalesse has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Track Athlete of the Week.

Scalesse  won a pair of events against Springfield and WPI on Saturday. His 110 meter hurdle time strengthened his position in the nation as the top 110-hurdler.

His time from two weeks ago was 14.43 at the Coast Guard Academy Spring Invitational. His performance from Saturday was 14.29, which is .03 off his all time best.

Scalesse also won the 400-hurdle race in 54.78 as Coast Guard placed second on Saturday.

This is the second time this year that he has earned NEWMAC Track Athlete of the Week honors.
