Scalesse Qualifies for 60 Meter Hurdle Finals at NCAA's

NAPERVILLE, Ill.—Junior All-American Adam Scalesse placed third in the 60 meter hurdles during the preliminaries qualifying him for the finals at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at North Central College.

Scalesse ran a 8.15, his second fastest time of the season earning one of eight spots in tomorrow's final guaranteeing him of All-American status for the third time in his career and the second straight time during the indoor season, but he has his sights set on a national championship.

TJ Valley from Wisconsin-Platteville ran an 8.09 while Terrence Gibson from Worcester State had a time of 8.10 to finish ahead of Scalesse in the preliminaries. Scalesse ran a school-record time of 8.11 earlier in the season.

The finals of the 60 meter hurdles will take place at 1:55 p.m. CST on Saturday.

He earned All-America honors in the 60 meter hurdles last year with a seventh place finish (8.28) while he also placed eighth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.15 to earn All-America honors last year the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
