Pair Heading to NCAA Championship

NEW LONDON, Conn.--(5/21/12)--Senior Trevor Siperek and sophomore All-American Adam Scalesse will compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at Claremont, Ca. at Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

Siperek will compete in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, this first NCAA Championship appearance while Scalesse will compete in the 110 meter hurdles, his third trip to the NCAA Championship, he competed at the Outdoor Championships last year before earning All-America honors with a seventh place finish in the 60 meter hurdles.

The 110 hurdles will take place on Friday at 8:25 p.m EST while the 3,000 meter steeplechase will take place on Saturday at 5:10 EST.

For each men's individual event contested, including the decathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each women's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
