STONEHILL, Mass. – Freshmen Kyle Fager and Chris Lansing won the D Flight in their collegiate debuts at the Stonehill College Doubles tournament.
Fager and Lansing beat Roger Williams 8-1, Stonehill white 8-5 before beating Stonehill purple 8-6 to win the flight.
Junior Tom Hackett and sophomore Adam Bahney were runners up in the A Flight dropping an 8-7 decision, 7-4 in the tiebreaker to Stonehill. Hackett and Bahney beat Roger Williams 8-5 and Assumption 8-6 to get to the final.
Also for the Bears, the senior duo of John Hu and Ben Errington beat UMass Boston 8-1 before dropping a heartbreaking 8-7 decision to Stonehill, losing 12-10 in the tiebreaker.
The Bears are back in action on Saturday at the Conn. College Invitational with matches being played both at home and at Conn. College.
