BROOKLYN, N.Y. --  NYU won all six singles matches en route to a 8-1 win over visiting Coast Guard at McCarren Park.

The Violets won all six singles matches in straight sets as they improved to 8-2 overall while the Bears dropped to 3-3 on the season.

Coast Guard's #1 doubles team of sophomores Tom Hackett and Jack Phillips accounted for the only point for the Bears as they won 8-6. The Bears #2 doubles team of junior Ben Errington and freshman Adam Bahney came up short losing 8-6.

The Bears are back in action on Saturday when they open New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on the road at Wheaton at noon.
