BOSTON, Mass. – Seniors Weston Fortna and Mark Guentert were named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's tennis All-conference team.
Fortna and Guentert were named to the All-conference as a doubles team for the third straight season while Fortna was also named to the All-conference team as a singles player for the first time in his career.
The Bears #1 doubles team were a perfect 6-0 in NEWMAC play, 11-6 in dual matches and 15-8 overall this season.
Fortna was 5-1 in conference in singles, including a perfect 4-0 at #4 singles for the Bears. He was 11-5 in dual matches and 14-5 overall this season.
Coast Guard finished the season 10-7 overall, 4-2 in NEWMAC play while advancing to the conference tournament semifinals for the third straight season.
The Bears also won the NEWMAC sportsmanship award.
