Bears Beaten at Conn.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/17/12)--The Connecticut College men's tennis team earned a 6-3 victory against the Coast Guard in a match-up of neighborhood rivals played on the South Tennis Courts Tuesday.

The Camels even their record at 6-6 with the triumph, while the Bears fall to 9-4 with the setback.

Freshman Joshua Suneby rallied to take a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory at #2 singles. JC Cangelosi earned a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at #3. Will Tucker and Huan Nguyen prevailed in their respective slot at fifth and sixth singles for the Camels.

In doubles action, Cangelosi and George King posted an 8-6 win at #1 doubles.

Coast Guard senior Greg Mitchell earned a 5-7, 7-6, 6-1 victory at first singles. Blake Maurer chipped in with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 triumph at #4.

Maurer and Josh Fischer earned a 9-8 victory at #2 doubles for the Bears.
