MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Junior Chasse Sodemann won three individual events and was part of three winning relays as Coast Guard won the CT Cup beating Conn. College and Wesleyan.
The Bears finished with 722 points followed by the Camels (490.5) and the host Cardinals (376.5).
Sodemann won the 100 breaststroke in 56.30, the 200 IM with a time of 1:58.53 and the 50 breaststroke (26.37).
The 400 freestyle relay of Sodemann, senior Ross Garrett, freshman Jake Danzer and freshman John Feller won with a time of 3:13.50.
The Bears 200 medley relay team of junior Patrick Jackson, Sodemann, Garrett and sophomore Joe Rodriguez won in 1:34.23 and they also won the 400 medley relay in 3:29.08.
Garrett won the 50 butterfly with a time of 23.21 and the 100 butterfly in 51.14, junior Taylor Rowe won the 500 freestyle (4:42.21) and the 1,000 freestyle (9:58.34) and Jackson won the 100 backstroke (53.12) and the 200 backstroke (1:58.04).
Junior Colin Fenster won the 400 IM (4:12.49), sophomore Joe Rodriguez won the 50 freestyle (21.17), freshman Eric Fuhs won the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.86, sophomore Owen Gibson won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.17for the Bears.
This was the final meet of the semester for the Bears, who are back in action on Jan. 11th against Babson at Wellesley.
