NEW LONDON, Conn. – Junior Taylor Rowe and freshman Eric Fuhs each won a pair of events as Coast Guard won the battle of unbeatens with a 158-140 win over WPI.
Coast Guard improves to 3-0 on the season while WPI drops to 4-1 on the season. The Engineers beat the Bears 151-147 last season.
Rowe won both the 1,000 freestyle (10:04.05) and the 500 freestyle (4:54.70) while Fuhs won the 200 breaststroke (2:08.98) and the 200 IM (1:58.33) to lead the Bears.
Freshman Josh Roh won the 200 freestyle (1:46.86), junior Chasse Sodemann won the 100 breaststroke (58.44), sophomore Owen Gibson won the 200 butterfly (1:59.26), sophomore Joe Rodriguez won the 50 freestyle (21.41), junior Patrick Jackson won the 200 backstroke (1:58.94) and freshman Marshall Seguin won the 3-meter board with a score of 276.22
The Bears are back in action on Saturday at Tufts in a dual meet at 1:00.
