Bears Beat Wesleyan in Final Dual Meet of Season

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. –  Taylor Rowe won both the 500 freestyle and the 1,000 freestyle leading Coast Guard to a 167-111 win over Wesleyan in the final dual meet of season.

Rowe won the 500 freestyle (4:48.13) and the 1,000 freestyle (9:53.96), Mike Franco won the 200 freestyle (1:46.30), Chasse Sodemann won the 100 breaststroke (58.53), Joe Rodriguez won the 50 freestyle (21.94), John Pompay won the 200 breaststroke (2:09.56) and Zach Weeks won the 200 IM (1:59.89).

The Bears 400 medley relay team of Patrick Jackson, Sodemann, Ross Garrett and Rodriquez won with a time of 3:32.14.

The Bears finish the regular season with a 6-2 dual meet record and now prepare for the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship which takes place Feb. 16-19 at WPI.
