Brindamour Sets Pool Record at WPI

WORCESTER, Mass.-- Junior Christian Brindamour set the pool record in the 100 freestyle with an NCAA B cut time of 45.76 to lead the Coast Guard men's swimming and diving team at the preliminaries of the Gompei Invitational hosted by WPI on Sunday.

Sophomore Andy Anderson set WPI pool records and earned a spot in the NCAA Regional Championship winning both the 1-meter (447.5) and the 3-meter (496.5) boards.

Also for the Bears, freshman Aaron Overheim won the 1,650 freestyle (17:10.30), sophomore Ben Morseth took fourth in the 100 backstroke with time of 56.28 and freshman Londen Thomas was fifth in the 200 butterfly (2:01.67).

The Bears 400 yard freestyle relay team of senior Marco Tinari, junior Ryan Buys, freshman Elliot VanDeren and Brindamour placed third with a time of 3:14.50.
