Coast Guard Ranked 11th in New England

The Coast Guard men's soccer team appeared in the initial NCAA New England Regional Rankings at 11.

This is the first time the Bears (8-3-2) have been featured in the poll since the 2014 season when they finished the year ranked third in New England.

Coast Guard is coming off a 2-0 victory this past week and are unbeaten in five of their last six games.

Senior Alex Lane continues to have a strong season as he leads Coast Guard with four goals and four assists for a team high 12 points.

Junior Luke Telang has a team high five goals while senior Caelan Harshaw (three goals), Austin Read (three goals) and junior Ryan Dandan (two goals, two assists) each have six points.

The Bears defense has allowed only seven goals on the year and is first in the conference and ninth in the nation with a .49 goals against average while first in the NEWMAC with eight shutouts on the year.

Coast Guard is back in action this weekend with a pivotal conference game against Wheaton. Kickoff is 2:00 pm.
