Bears Winning Streak Snapped at Six

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- Coast Guard had its six game winning streak snapped with a 12-9 loss to Briarcliffe.

The Bears led 6-5 after the first period, but trailed 7-6 at halftime.

Briarcliffe led 8-7 going to the fourth quarter before outscoring the Bears 4-2 in the final frame.

Eric Schmid, Louis DePaolis and Robert McKenna each had two goals to lead the Bears.

Ryan Carpenter had 18 saves in goal for Coast Guard.

The Bears are back in action when they host Framingham State on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
