Bears Unveil Custom Uniform for Secretaries' Cup

The Coast Guard football team unveiled a special, custom uniform that will be worn for the Secretaries' Cup home game against Merchant Marine on Veterans Day at noon. The game will be streamed live on ESPN 3 at noon.

Coast Guard which usually wears the school colors of orange and blue will wear red, white and blue on Saturday, more of the Coast Guard colors with the Coast Guard motto 'Semper Paratus', meaning Always Ready, on the back of each jersey.

"We are very grateful to adidas for their generosity in partnering with us to produce the unique, patriotic uniform that our football cadet-athletes will wear this weekend for the Secretaries Cup game on ESPN3," said Tim Fitzpatrick, Coast Guard Academy Director of Athletics. "With its dynamic emblem and red, white and blue color scheme and bold striping, the uniform embraces the 'big' Coast Guard – of which the Academy is such an important part. Our team will proudly and enthusiastically represent the Coast Guard to the nation on Saturday, and thanks to adidas, will do so in a colorful fashion. Go Bears!"

Coast Guard fans can purchase an exclusive replica t-shirt, similar in design to the game jersey that the Bears will wear for the Secretaries Cup game, at Cadet Memorial Field on game day. The t-shirt will be on sale for $20 at the Bear Club Tent, located on the street behind the Cadet Memorial Field pressbox, and will be available in a variety of sizes.
