C.C. is in his eighth season as head baseball coach after serving as the top assistant for seven seasons.
In 2013 he led Coast Guard to their first ever appearance in the ECAC Championship game before falling to eventual NCAA Qualifier MIT in a 2-0 pitcher's duel. During the season the Bears set a new school record with 24 wins.
He led the Bears to the New England Women’s and
Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tournament championship
game in 2010 and an ECAC tournament berth as the team posted a
school-record tying 21 wins in 2011.
Grant was a part of a coaching staff that led the Bears to the
first postseason win in school history in 2002 and led the team to
three (NEWMAC) tournament championship games (2000, 2001,
2003).
Grant is also the Co-Defensive Coordinator for the football team,
his 13th season as a member of the Bears football coaching
staff.
The 1992 graduate of Cortland State spent six seasons as an
assistant football coach at his alma mater, the final two as the
Offensive Coordinator.
C.C. earned a Masters degree in Physical Education from Cortland
State in 1994.
