Shannon is in her first season as an assistant athletic trainer at the Coast Guard Academy.

She is originally from Florida and received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla. in 2010.

Following West Florida,  she received a graduate student position at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. While getting her Master’s,  Shannon worked with a nearby D3 college (Marietta College) and was the supervising athletic trainer for women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s indoor & outdoor track teams.

Also while in school she completed a thesis titled “Validation of Physical Activity as a Functional Outcome Measure Following a Concussion”.

Shannon received a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training in June of 2012.

She currently resides in Rocky Hill, Conn.
